AN ORDINANCE RECEIVING AdD ANNEXING THE
INHABITANTS _AND TERRITORIES ADJACENT TO THE
TOWN OF SOUTHLAKE, TEXAS, AND PROVIDING THAT
SUCH AREA SHOULD BE A PART OF THE TOWN OF
SOUTHLAKE, TEXAS, A1TD THAT THE INHABITANTS
SAALL BE ENTITLED TO TAE RIGHTS AND PRIVILEGES
OF OTHER CITIZENS OF THE TOWN OF SOUTi LAKE,
TEXAS, AND BOUND BY THE ACTS A'aTD ORDINANCES
ENACTED IN PURSUANT TO TITLE 28, CHAPTERS I
to 10, INCLUSIVE, REVISED CIVIL STATUTES OF
TEXAS, AND AMENDING AND CORRECTING OFFICIAL
BOUNDARIES OF THE TOWN OF SOUTHLAKE, TEXAS,
AS HERETOFORE ADOPTED AND PROVIDING FOR AN
EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, pursuant to Article 974 of the 1925 Revised Civil
Statutes of Texas, F. L, Bailey and others, inhabitants of the
area herein described and who are qualified to vote for members
of the State Legislature, have heretofore filed with the Mayor
and the Board of Aldermen of the Town of Southlake, Texas,
their petition requesting annexation of the said area to the Town
of Southlake, Texas, such area being described as follows:
A tract of land situated in the T. M. Hood and Beedy Surveys,
Tarrant County, Texas, and more fully described by metes and bounds
as follows:
BEGINNING at a point in the North right of way line of County
Road No. 3030, same being the Northwest corner of the Beedy Survey;
THENCE, South along the Nest Line of County Road No. 3080 to a
point where County Road No. 3083 turns West for a corner;
THENCE, East across County Road No. 3088 to the West Lino of the
T. K. Hood Survey;
THENCE, South along the West Boundary Line of the T. M. Hood Survey
where same line intersects a tract of land annexed to the Town of
Southlake, Texas, pursuant to its Ordinance No. 52, adopted December
29, 1956;
THENCE, East along the North Line of Ordinance No. 52 to the East
Line o County Road No. 3123;
T ENCE, North along the West Line of County Road No. 3123 to the
Southeast Corner of a tract of land " Ordinance No. 449 adopted
on December 299 1956;
THENCE, West to the Southwest Corner of Ordinance No. 44;
THENCE, North to the Northwest corner of said Ordinance No. 44,
said point being the South Boundary Line of the Beedy Survey and.
the North Line of the T. M. Hood Survey;
T3ENCE, East to the East Line of County Road No, 3123;
THENCE, North along the West Line of County Road No. 3123 to the
North Line of County Rood No. 3080; same being the Northeast
Corner of the Beedy Survey;
THENCE, West along the North Line of County Road No. 30301 to the
place of beginning.
WHEREAS, said petition was accompanied by an affidavit executed
by F. L. Bailey and others, inhabitants of the areas described and
who are qualified to vote for members of the State Legislature and
that by signing said affidavit certified that said petition contains
the signatures of more than fifty percent of the qualified voters
residing in such area who have voted in favor of having the said area
and the inhabitants thereof annexed to and become a part of the Town
of Southlake, Texas; and
WHEREAS, it appearing to the Board of Aldermen of the Town of
Southlake, Texas, that all statutory requirements in connection with
said proposed annexation have been fulfilled and that the said area
duly grouped into one territory is not more than 1/2 mile in width
and that all of same is adjacent of the present City Limits of the
Town of Southlake, Texas;
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE TOWN OF SOUT LAKE,
TEXAS:

THE hereinafter described territory lying and adjacent to the
Town of Southlake, Texas, is hereby annexed and brought within the
Corporate Limits and made an integral part of the Torn of Southlake,
Texas, said territory being situated in Tarrant County, Texas, and
being described by metes and bounds as follows:
BEGINXING at a point in the North right of way line of County Road
No, 3080, same being the Northwest corner of the Beedy Survey;
THENCE, South along the West Line of County Road No, 3080 to a
point where County Road No. 3088 turns West for a corner;
TdENCE, East across County Road No. 3088 to the West Line of the
T. K. Hood Survey;
THENCE, South along the West Boundary Line of the T. M. Hood Survey
where same line intersects a tract of land annexed to the Town of
Southlake, Texas, pursuant to its Ordinance No. 52, adopted December
29, 1956;
