A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SOUTHLAKE, TEXAS,
BECOMING A MEMBER OF THE METROPORT CITIES
PARTNERSHIP AND APPOINTING A DELAGATE THERETO.
WHEREAS, the METROPORT CITIES PARTNERSHIP , has been
established as a not-for-profit, sub -regional, public/private forum at
which leaders of local Cities, School Districts, Chambers of Commerce and
busniesses can work together to seek new ways to promote their common
assets and improve their economic well-being and,
WHEREAS, it is the continuing desire of the City of Southlake to
support and participate in efforts it deems beneficial to all of its
citizens and,
WHEREAS, the goals and objectives of the METROPORT CITIES
PARTNERSHIP compliment and coincide with the goals and objectives of
the City of Southlake,
NOW THEREFORE, by virtue of the authority vested in the City Council,
be it resloved that the City of Southlake wholeheartedly endorses and
supports the METROPORT CITIES PARTNERSHIP and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City of Southlake hereby applies
for membership in the MERTROPORT CITIES PARTNERSHIP and names
Betty Springer as its delegate thereto and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that copies of this resolution be made
available to the Southlake Chamber of Commerce, the Southlake Economic
Development Council, the Carroll Independent School District, and to any
and all entities and organizations entitled to participate in the aforesaid
undertaking.
