1988-028RESOLUTION NO. 88-28 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTHLAKE, TEXAS, AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO SUBMIT APPLICATIONS TO THE STATE DEPARTMENT OF HIGHWAYS AND PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION AS REQUIRED BY ARTICLE V.C.S. 6701m-2 FOR EXEMPT VEHICLE LICENSE PLATES. WHEREAS, the City of Southlake, Texas adopted Resolution 88-28 on April 5,1988 allowing certain police department vehicles be exempt from identification under Article V.C.S. 6701m-2. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTHLAKE, TEXAS: Section 1. That the City Council has determined that certain police department vehicles, when used in the performance of official duties, are exempt under Article V.C.S. 6701m-2 from identification. Section 2. That the City Council authorizes the City Manager, Lloyd 0. Latta Jr. to sign the forms required to be submitted for registration requesting regular license plates for exempt vehicles. Section 3. That the City Council requests the State Department of Highways and Public Transportation issue regular license plates upon submittal of the proper application for exempt vehicles. Section 4. That the City Manager forward a copy of this resolution along with the application for registration requesting regular plates for exempt vehicles to the State Department of Highways and Public Transportation.
