A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SOUTHLAKE,
TEXAS, INSTRUCTING ITS SPECIAL COUNSEL TO
REINSTATE ACTIVE LITIGATION AGAINST
DALLAS/FORT WORTH INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT AND
THE FEDERAL AVIATION ADMINISTRATION;
DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE
WHEREAS, the City of Southlake is engaged in litigation
with Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport and the Federal
Aviation Administration; and
WHEREAS, said suit has been stayed pending settlement
negotiations; and
WHEREAS, the 180 -day stay period designated by the court
will end on February 7, 1988; and
WHEREAS, the City of Southlake diligently pursued
settlement during the period of the stay; and
WHEREAS, the Dallas/Fort Worth Airport Board is unable to
meet to consider the City of Southlake's final offer before
February 15, 1988;
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SOUTHLAKE, TEXAS:
Section 1. That all of the above premises are found to
be true and correct and are incorporated into the body of this
resolution as if copied in their entirety.
Section 2. That the Southlake City Council hereby
instructs its attorneys to reinstate active litigation in the
above-described matter.
Section 3. That this Resolution shall be in full force
and effect from and after its passage.
