1987-999CITY OF SOUTHLAKE, TEXAS RESOLUTION NO. 87-999 THIS RESOLUTION BY THE CITY OF SOUTHLAKE, TEXAS HEREBY AMENDS THE ORIGINAL CONSTITUTION OF THE CITY OF SOUTHLAKE REGARDING "CODE OF CONDUCT, CODE OF ETHICS, AND DRESS CODE" AS ESTABLISHED BY THE FOUNDING FATHERS OF SAID CITY IN 1956 PERTAINING TO ALL FUTURE CITY FATHERS AND MOTHERS, PROVIDING A PENALTY NOT TO EXCEED ($2,000.00) TWO THOUSAND DOLLARS FOR EACH OFFENSE, AND A SEPARATE OFFENSE SHALL BE DEEMED COMMITTED UPON EACH DAY DURING OR ON WHICH A VIOLATION OCCURS: THAT THIS RESOLUTION GOES INTO EFFECT IMMEDIATELY AFTER ITS APPROVAL. WHEREAS, The City Council understands the importance of maintaining a first class image and promoting same throughout the City both privately and publicly; WHEREAS, The City Council realizes that a chain is no stronger than its weakest link; WHEREAS, The City Council has established an ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT COUNCIL to attract preferred residential and commercial growth and is aware that Councilman Curry is presently working with that commission; WHEREAS, The City Council is sympathetic to the present poor state of our economy in Texas, realizing that real estate sales have suffered tremendously forcing Councilman Curry to cut back on his personal expenses; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF SOUTHLAKE, TEXAS: The City of Southlake will provide Councilman Curry with one disposable razor per month until such time as he can take care of this expense on his own, en- abling him the opportunity, without cost, to comply with the standards established by the founders of this fine city.
