Background Information
Current agreement approved by CC June 5, 2012 (Initial term Aug 1 - Sept 30, 2012)
- Agreement includes (3) additional three-year renewal options
First renewal (Oct 1, 2012 – Sept
30, 2015)
The current BJNCP management agreement with the Bob Jones Nature Center Organization (BJNCO) was approved by the City Council on June 5, 2012 for an initial term of August 1-September
30, 2012. The agreement included (3) additional three-year renewal options. On March 18, 2012, City Council approved the first of the three optional renewals for the term October 1,
2012-September 30, 2015.
The proposed Agreement presented at this time will be the second, three-year renewal option.

The proposed Agreement is essentially the same as the previous Agreement, with updates to delete obsolete provisions pertaining to the initial 18-month period of the Agreement have
been deleted. Minor changes have been made to update and reflect current practice
The proposed Agreement is for a three (3) year term, October 1, 2015—September 30, 2018.
The proposed
Agreement identifies service expectations and responsibilities; establishes the Poormans as independent contractors; delineates term and financial considerations and outlines termination
procedures.
