We understand that it will be our (OTE HOA) responsibility to provide these funds prior to any construction once the match is approved by the City of Southlake Council. Sincerely, Sansone Vice President Oaktree Estates Home Owners Association From: Oak Tree Estates Home Owners Association April 18, 2015 Southlake, Texas To: Ms. Lorrie Fletcher Planning and Development Services City of Southlake Dear Ms. Fletcher, Recently the Board of Directors approved a motion to construct a handicap access ramp from the street (Westmont Drive) to connect with the sidewalk around the pond in Oak Tree Estates. This will allow for easier access to the sidewalk for wheelchairs, bikes, strollers and wagons that residents and citizens of Southlake use around the pond. The motion approved by the board included the addition of a connection of the sidewalk that exists around the pond, to the street sidewalk adjacent to Carroll Avenue. This reduces the need for homeowners or Southlake citizens to walk on the street, (Westmont Drive) to reach the city sidewalk along Carroll. We feel that this improvement will create a safer environment for all the people that will be using the sidewalk and ramp. It is our understanding that The City of Southlake has a Neighborhood Sidewalk Matching Funds Program that might be applicable in this situation. As President of the Oak Tree Estates Home Owners Association and on behalf of the Board, I am asking the City of Southlake to consider our Application for matching funds to help us complete this project.
