Next Steps
TxDOT Maintenance
Public Works & Community Services Plans
State Highway 114
The SH 114 corridor is another priority. Parks and Public Works staff will continue to supplement the maintenance provided by TxDOT.
2-3 times per year, TxDOT mows the entire corridor
and removes trash and debris.
Over the next few weeks, staff will be removing the excess dirt, debris and weeds along the concrete median & ROW areas and will continue to handle weed
control. Staff will also have the City’s landscape maintenance contractor supplement the mowing and trash removal efforts as needed.
TxDOT Mowing – Weather dependent – May/June, July/Aug
& Sept/Oct
TxDOT Trash – Approximately 6 times per year (randomnly)
City Costs to Supplement:
$6,500 per Contractor mowing
$200 per Contractor trash pick-up
$500 per Contractor mowing
(intersection areas)
