CALL TO ORDER The Work Session was called to order by Mayor Terrell at 5:34 p.m. 2. INVOCATION Jason Daughtry gave the invocation. Mayor Terrell led the pledge of allegiance to the United States and Texas Flags. 3. LOCAL BUSINESS REPORT Director of Economic Development and Tourism Shannon Hamons introduced Feda Adi with Massage Luxe Spa. RESOLUTION NO. 15-026, CANVASS THE RETURNS AND DECLARE THE RESULTS OF THE GENERAL AND SPECIAL ELECTIONS HELD ON MAY 9, 2015. APPROVED Mayor Terrell read into record the results of the May 9, 2015 General and Special Elections. The returns declared the following: Mayor Terrell also noted a special election for the unexpired term for City Council, Place 5, was canceled by City Council on March 17, 2015 due to the candidate having no opposition. The following candidate was thereby elected to office and shall be issued a certificate of election: City Council, Place 5 - John Huffman. Mayor Terrell called for a vote of the City Council and stated that a vote in support is to confirm the results as read into the record.
