1. CALL TO ORDER
Chairman Bartlett called the meeting of the Southlake Arts Council to order at
6:04 p.m.
2. CONSENT AGENDA
Consent Agenda items are considered to be routine by the Southlake Arts
Council and are enacted with one motion.
2A. APPROVAL OF THE MINUTES FROM THE MARCH 24, 2015 SOUTHLAKE

5. PUBLIC FORUM
Sara Egelston Akers and Dr. James R. Egelston, representatives of the Plano
Children's Theatre and McKinney Youth Theatre, addressed the Arts Council
about programs, performances and training offered at the Plano Children's and
McKinney Youth theatres.
3. CONSIDER
3A. RECOMMENDATION OF FINALISTS FROM CALL TO ARTISTS FOR PUBLIC
ART FOR THE ROUNDABOUT AT DOVE ROAD AND PEYTONVILLE
AVENUE/SAM SCHOOL ROAD AND THE MARQ SOUTHLAKE
Assistant to the Director Cassie Tucker presented the submittals received from
the Call to Artists for public art for the roundabout at Dove Road and Peytonville
Avenue/Sam School Road and for The Marq Southlake. The Arts Council
selected Dream Big, Kathleen Caricof, and Seth Vandable for the roundabout
and Dream Big, Kathleen Caricof, and Mark Leichliter for The Marq Southlake.
APPROVED
A motion was made to recommend the top three artists as finalists as presented
(artist submittals 6, 17, 4 and 20).

4. DISCUSSION
4A. FUTURE PUBLIC ART OPPORTUNITIES
The Arts Council briefly discussed Town Hall Art Exhibits, an Arts Council/Apex
Event at The Marq, potential juried art exhibit and Apex Film Festival. These
items will be discussed at the next meeting.
6. ADJOURNMENT
