Operational Analysis by Ballard, King & Assoc.
Staff surveyed
14 wedding venues
13 non-profit/government venues
11 venues in adjacent communities
16 “BYOB” venues
10 wedding chapel
venues
23 conference room venues
While developing the proposed rental rates and fees for The Marq, staff spent a considerable amount of time researching similar facilities in the Metroplex to ensure that our proposed
fees were competitive within the market. This included fourteen wedding venues, thirteen non-profit and government operated event venues, eleven event venues in adjacent cities, sixteen
venues that allow guests to provide their own alcohol, ten venues that also provide a wedding chapel and twenty-three conference centers. In addition, staff has been working with Ballard,
King and Associates on developing the operational analysis for The Marq Southlake, which provides a detailed look at the potential revenue and expenses for the entire facility.
