The paint on the garages and stairwells is the original paint, and is now 10 years old. The parking garage stairwells are power washed one per month. However, due to age and heavy use, the stairwells need to be re-painted. This project includes closing off one stairwell at a time for pressure washing and painting. Approximately four parking spaces will be blocked off on each floor to prevent any overspray. Each stairwell will take approximately one week to complete. The entire project will take approximately two months. 3 Town Square Parking Garages Council authorized $50,000 for the painting project in the FY15 budget The current cost estimate is $42,500, therefore this project is under budget Davidson Reconstruction, Inc. is used for other City building improvements City Council approved funds for the painting of the East and West Town Square Parking Garage stairwells in the FY 15 budget in an amount of $50,000.
