RE: ZA14-074 & ZA14-041
I own land on Torian Lane. TAD describes my land as Abstract: 1511 Tract: 1W
This land has full access only from Torian Lane. Torian Lane is a 60 foot wide street that I use to access
this land. Rights to access this street are clearly laid out in my deed. I relied on these rights then and I
do now. Over the years at my own cost, I have performed maintenance on Torian Lane. Over the years
I have used Torian Lane to access this land. The owners of this land prior to me also had to use Torian
Lane for access.
Separate from this first issue, at the back end of Torian Lane there was another street that has a clear
history of being given over to the adjacent land owners including lots in Creekside Estates and the
Wilkinson's. I have fenced and used this former street likewise.
This proposal suggests Torian lane can be taken and added to this development in a manner that would
deny me access to my property. I suggest it can only be taken to profit the development at my loss.
I understand the laws of Texas give great protection to land owners in this situation.
I fully expect Torian Lane and the City of Southlake will continue to provide full and proper access to this
property.
Sincerely,
Lester J. Strait
