There was no action necessary as a result of Executive Session. 3A.MAYOR’S REPORT Mayor Terrell briefly announced upcoming meetings and events. 3A1.LEGISLATIVEUPDATE REGULAR CITY COUNCIL MEETING MINUTES, APRIL 21, 2015 Page 2of 13 Mayor Terrell briefly presented information on HB40 and SB1165 regarding proposed changes to oil and gas drilling operations within municipalities. He instructed interested parties to watch the April 7, 2015 City Council meeting on Videoon Demand at www.cityofsouthlake.com\\drillingwhere he and City Attorney Bryn Meredith provided an overview of the new law and what it could mean for Southlake. Director of Community Services Chris Tribble gave a brief overview of the Country in the Square event that was held in Town Square on April 18, 2015. 3B.CITY MANAGER’SREPORT 3B1.STRATEGIC PRIORITY UPDATE City Manager Shana Yelvertonhighlighted operational excellence in the strategic priority of Performance Management and Service Delivery. She announced that the Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA) of the United States and Canada recently presented the City of Southlake with the Distinguished Budget Presentation Awardfor theFY2015 Budget. This is the seventh year in a row that the City has received this award. Thisreflects the commitment of the governing body and staff to meeting the highest principles of governmental budgeting.
