Ken & Dennis:
Kosse has asked me to contact you to request an indefinite tabling of the Shady Lane zoning case. Subsequent
to the Council workshop on the Shady Lane zoning case last week, we have been contacted by several of the
closest neighbors who- now that they know the facts as presented by you during the workshop comparing the
two possibilities- have decided they prefer the R-PUD approach, and are uncomfortable with the characterization
made during the workshop that the "neighbors are against the R-PUD plan." Many tell us they are upset that
others, who live further than them from the property, have hijacked the process and railroaded many from the
neighborhood into signing statements against the proposal- often by making statements that differ from those
facts.
Consequently, these neighbors have asked us to not be too hasty in taking this before the Council again, in
order to allow them time to really find out what their closest neighbors would prefer. Although time is always of
the essence, we would prefer in this instance to make sure there is adequate time for everyone to know the
situation and to be allowed to make their feelings known. That is why we are requesting the case be tabled.
