PROJECT: Amendment to the Master Sign Plan for Park Village
EXECUTIVE
SUMMARY:
The Woodmont Co. is requesting approval of an amendment to the Master Sign
Plan for Park Village retail center located at the southwest corner of E. Southlake
Blvd. and S. Carroll Avenue.
REQUEST:
The proposed amendment to the master sign plan is specific to the tower feature.
The tower was approved as shown and presented to City Council on August 19,
2014, at 42 feet wide and 43 feet in height. The applicant is requesting to reduce
the size of the tower feature to 32 feet wide and 33 feet in height. The 10 foot
reduction is at the request of a major anchor in the development. The location,
colors and materials are not proposed to change from the original approval.
On April 7, 2015; the City Council tabled this item requesting the applicant provide
additional renderings of the proposed tower feature showing different viewpoints
from the adjacent roadways and fountain area. As of the date of this report, the
requested renderings had not been submitted. However, the applicant has
st
indicated the renderings will be provided prior to the April 21 meeting. As soon as
the renderings are submitted to staff, a digital copy will be made available to City
Council members through email.
