Price, P.E., Public Works Director Subject:Approve an Encroachment and Joint Use Agreement for anew entry feature monument in city right of way immediately northof the intersection of Byron Nelson Parkwayand EastContinental Blvd. Action Requested: Approve an Encroachment and Joint Use Agreement for a new entry feature monument in city right of way immediately northof the intersection of Byron Nelson Parkway and East Continental Blvd. Background Information: Timarron Owners Associationisrequesting the approval of a rightofway encroachment agreement for a new entry feature monumentfor the Timarron residential development. The entry feature is proposed to be located in the median teen feetnorthof the intersection of Byron Nelson Parkway and EastContinental Boulevard.The Owners Association proposesto install the illuminated entry feature monument to accentuate the entrance to the subdivision.The applicant has executed a copy of the city’s standard Encroachment and Joint Use Agreement and has acknowledged that they will comply with the terms of theagreement. Monuments of this type were previously approved with the Timarron development accordingto the city’s planning staff. The proposed location of the monument has been reviewed by staff and no sight distance issues are anticipated as a result of its construction.
