Request: Approval of a sign variance to the Sign Ordinance No. 704-G and the Master Sign Plan to Kimball Oaks to allow two (2) murals
on the east and west facades of the building located within the Kimball Oaks development.

The Chipotle sign variance request is to allow a larger logo and sign area on the south façade and a larger logo height on the north façade.
The south elevation is permitted 22.9 inch
logo and the applicant is requesting a 30.5 inch logo height. The maximum permitted sign area is 28 sf and the applicant is requesting 37.8 sf.
The north elevation is permitted a 20
inch logo height and the applicant is requesting a 26.75 inch logo height.

The Southlake Arts Council provided feedback to BJ’s Restaurant and Brewhouse on the proposed murals that were being presented for comments.
March 24, 2015
The Southlake
Arts Council recommended approval of the proposed murals subject to the applicant removing the glasses shown on the murals. The applicant has complied with the Arts Council request.
Barnett Signs on behalf of Chipotle is seeking approval of sign variance to allow an attached sign on the south elevation that exceeds maximum allowed logo height and overall sign area
and an attached sign on the north elevation of the building that exceeds maximum allowed logo height. The property is located at 3010 E. Southlake Boulevard.

depicted on the mural and the state flag of Texas rather than the U.S. flag).
