Allen Taylor and City Secretary Lori Payne. WORK SESSION: 1. CALL TO ORDER The Work Session was called to order by Mayor Terrell at 5:30 p.m. 2. INVOCATION Nick Billardello gave the invocation. Mayor Terrell led the pledge of allegiance to the United States and Texas Flags. 3. LOCAL BUSINESS REPORT Director of Economic Development Shannon Hamons introduced Alan Dennington with Better Faster Urgent Care. Mr. Dennington provided a description of the services provided, hours of operation, and location of business. 4. HONORS AND RECOGNITIONS REGULAR CITY COUNCIL MEETING MINUTES, MARCH 3, 2015 Page 1 of 14 A. Recognition of Southlake Sister Cities student delegation to Wuzhong, China. Mayor Terrell introduced Southlake Sister Cities President Jeff Wang who described the upcoming student trip to Wuzhong, China. Mr. Wang introduced nine Southlake Carroll students who will be making the trip on behalf of the City of Southlake. B. Special recognition of Southlake pioneer family matriarch, Virginia Johnson Clow. Mayor Terrell recognized the contribution of Virginia Johnson Clow and the entire Clow family. He acknowledged members of the family in attendance at tonight's meeting — husband, Les, who was Mayor of Southlake from 1967-1973, daughter, Ann Swirczynski and son-in-law, Virgil, along with grandson Michael Swirczynski and his wife Mandy and great-granddaughters Alison and Maddie. Ms. Swirczynski thanked Council for the recognition. 5. DISCUSS ALL ITEMS ON TONIGHT'S AGENDA. NO ACTION WILL BE TAKEN AND EACH ITEM WILL BE CONSIDERED DURING THE REGULAR SESSION. Mayor Terrell reviewed the consent agenda items. REGULAR SESSION: 1. CALL TO ORDER The Regular Session of the City Council was called to order by Mayor Terrell at 5:50 p.m. 2A. EXECUTIVE SESSION Mayor Terrell announced that City Council would be going into Executive Session pursuant to the Texas Government Code, Section 551.071, consultation with city attorney, Section 551.072, deliberation regarding real property, and Section 551.074, deliberation regarding personnel matters. City Council adjourned for Executive Session at 5:50 p.m. Executive Session began at 6:07 p.m. and concluded at 7:27 p.m. 2B. RECONVENE Mayor Terrell reconvened the meeting at 7:38 p.m. Mayor Terrell asked if any action was necessary from Executive Session. There was no action necessary as a result of Executive Session. 3A. STRATEGIC PRIORITY UPDATE City Manager Shana Yelverton introduced Chief Financial Officer Sharen Jackson who highlighted the Municipal Court and Teen Court divisions. Ms. Jackson featured information on staff professional certifications and the paperless court process. REGULAR AGENDA: 4.
