at 6:30 p.m.

Daniel Cortez, Principal Planner presented Item No. 5, ZA15-007.
Patty and Tom Del Valle, 2401 Carlyle in Colleyville came forward to address any
questions the Commission has.
Chairman Hudson asked about the intent for having a three story structure and the
square footage of the observation room. Chairman Hudson continued to ask about the
fence going around the property.
Mrs. Del Valle gave an explanation for the third story and elevator which also keeps the
height within regulation. The observation room will be 400 square feet. The fence
surrounding the property is to protect the property from people trespassing and wild
animals that are natural to the environment.
Brian McDonald, 6115 Owings and with Archiverti Landscape Architects came forward
to address the tree preservation of the property.
Chairman Hudson opened the public hearing.
Marilyn Miles, 1120 Southlake Drive, DeSoto, TX came forward. Ms. Miles spoke in
favor of the development.

Daniel Cortez, Principal Planner presented Item No. 8, ZA15-008.
Steve Moore and Ashley Newhart with Community Services came forward to explain the
event.
Commissioner Parrish suggested that signage be placed to direct people to the parking
garages versus surface parking.
Chairman Hudson asked about how many people they were expecting.
Ms. Newhart stated that they are expecting around 5,000 people.
Commissioner Parrish asked if the radio station would be broadcasting from Town Square.
Ms. Newhart stated no.
Commissioner Kubiak stated that this sounds like a good idea and asked how it ranked
with other events.
Ms. Newhart stated that it compares to Oktoberfest and Art in the Square.
Commissioner Parrish asked about tents.
Ms. Newhart stated that there will be 10 x 10 tents erected for food and alcohol venders
only.
