The applicant is requesting a driveway stacking depth of approximately 20.5 feet. Tree Preservation Ordinance No. 585D requires 70% of existing tree canopy to be preserved. The applicant is proposing to preserve 51% of existing tree canopy. Interior Landscape: 7 trees were added, 2 Canopy trees at the front of the building and 5 Canopy trees on the east side between the driveway and the bufferyard. ZA14-148: Approved (5-0) subject to Plat Review Summary No. 2 and staff report dated January 2, 2015, and recommending that city staff present to the City Council options for restricting truck deliveries on Cherry Lane and that the applicant present a wall or fencing option on the north border prior to City Council and granting variances as requested regarding driveway stacking depth and the tree preservation ordinance. ZA14-152: Approved (5-0) subject to the staff report dated January 2, 2015; noting the applicant’s willingness to provide additional landscaping and screening along the east bufferyard and recommending the applicant present additional options for the location of the accessory building on property to City Council and limiting the storage in the accessory building to only tools and equipment and excluding chemical and other toxic materials other than gasoline and oil for the use of tools and equipment and requiring all materials kept in the accessory building in all other respects comply with Fire Code.
