1. CALL TO ORDER
Chairman Bartlett called the meeting of the Southlake Arts Council to order at
6:06 p.m.
2. CONSENT AGENDA
Consent Agenda items are considered to be routine by the Southlake Arts
Council and are enacted with one motion.
2A. APPROVAL OF THE MINUTES FROM THE OCTOBER 28, 2014 SOUTHLAKE

3. CONSIDER
3A. ELECTION OF SOUTHLAKE ARTS COUNCIL OFFICERS FOR 2015
Deputy Director Edmondson presented the topic to elect a chair, vice chair and
secretary to serve a one -year term. The Arts Council agreed to keep the same
officers as the previous year.
APPROVED
A motion was made to elect Leslie Bartlett as Chair, Miriam Murray as Vice Chair
and Jesika Cook as Secretary.

Second: Messing
Ayes: Bartlett, Cook, McMillan, Messing and Murray
Nays: None
Abstain: None
Vote: 5 -0
Motion Carried.
Arts Council member Merlene Ingraham arrived at the meeting at 6:10 p.m.
4. DISCUSSION
Item 4B was moved up on the agenda to allow for Arts Council member Terri Messing
to present the item before she had to leave.
4B. STROKES OF ART IN THE SQUARE RECEPTION AND EXHIBIT FEBRUARY
22, 2015
Southlake Arts Council member Terri Messing led the planning discussion for the
Strokes of Art in the Square reception on February 22, 2015. Areas of
responsibilities for the reception were discussed. Ms. Messing noted that twelve
artists have been invited to participate in the exhibit.
Arts Council member Christina Esparza arrived at the meeting at 6:18 p.m.
4A. TRADER JOE'S MURAL CONCEPTS
Southlake Town Square representative Frank Bliss presented proposed mural
concepts for the exterior facade of the Trader Joe's building located at 1492 East

Southlake Boulevard. Mr. Bliss answered questions from the Arts Council during
the discussion.
Arts Council members Terri Messing and Merlene Ingraham left the meeting around
6:30 p.m.
4C. FUTURE PUBLIC ART OPPORTUNITIES
Southlake Historical Society representative Connie Cooley talked to the Arts
Council about hosting an art display of historical photos (indoor /outdoor).
5. PUBLIC FORUM
No one was present to address the Arts Council during Public Forum.
6. ADJOURNMENT

A motion was made to adjourn the meeting at 6:45p.m.
