Fans United, is seeking approval of a sign variance to the Shops of Southlake
Conditional Sign Permit and Sign Ordinance No. 704-F to allow fifteen (15)
signs on three facades of the building located at 1431 E. Southlake
Boulevard, Suite 501. The purpose of the proposed signage is to utilize the
previous tenant's (Cherish) decorative panel areas for decorative team logo
medallions.
This is a sign variance request to the Shops of Southlake Conditional Sign
Permit requirements for the number of signs permitted per facade for Fans
United. Fans United is located at 1431 East Southlake Boulevard, Suite 501.
The Shops of Southlake tenants are permitted one sign per facade facing a
street, drive, or parking area. Fans United has three (3) facades and is
allowed three (3) attached signs, one on each facade, under the Shops of
Southlake Conditional Sign Permit. In addition to the three (3) signs, Fans
United is requesting to maintain the existing locations for fifteen (15) 16 inch
by 16 inch non -illuminated team logo medallions on the three facades (as
previously approved for the non -illuminated decorative panels forthe previous
tenant Cherish, under SP07-028 and SP-028a). Each panel is considered a
separate sign therefore; Fans United is requesting a total of 8 signs on the
south elevation, 7 signs on the west elevation, and 3 signs on the east
elevation. The requested variance for Fans United is as follows:

City Council approved the variance for Cherish under case SP07-028 on
February 6, 2007 to allow the fifteen decorative panels for six months. On
June 5, 2007, City Council approved the variance to permanently allow the
fifteen decorative panels under case SP07-028a.
