Allen Taylor and City Secretary Lori Payne. WORK SESSION: 1. CALL TO ORDER The Work Session was called to order by Mayor Terrell at 5:35 p.m. 2. INVOCATION Steve Fiedler gave the invocation. Mayor Terrell led the pledge of allegiance to the United States and Texas Flags. 3. SOUTHLAKE CHAMBER OF COMMERCE UPDATE Mayor Terrell introduced Southlake Chamber of Commerce Board Chairman Ian MacLean. Mr. MacLean gave a brief update on Chamber activities. 4. HONORS AND RECOGNITIONS REGULAR CITY COUNCIL MEETING MINUTES, NOVEMBER 18, 2014 Page 1 of 15 1. Proclamation for Carroll Dragon Speech and Debate Team Mayor Terrell presented two proclamations for recent achievements at the National Speech and Debate Association's National Finals. One proclamation went to the Carroll Speech and Debate Team for a School of Honor award and one proclamation went to ' student Azhar Hussain for placing third in Congressional Debate. Teacher Jason Sykes and student Priyanka Suri were also present to accept a proclamation on behalf of the team. Mr. Hussain also gave a patriotic speech in honor of veterans. 5. DISCUSS ALL ITEMS ON TONIGHT'S AGENDA. NO ACTION WILL BE TAKEN AND EACH ITEM WILL BE CONSIDERED DURING THE REGULAR SESSION. Mayor Terrell reviewed the consent agenda items. REGULAR SESSION: 1. CALL TO ORDER The Regular Session of the City Council was called to order by Mayor Terrell at 6:10 p.m. 2A. EXECUTIVE SESSION Mayor Terrell announced that City Council would be going into Executive Session pursuant to the Texas Government Code, Section 551.071, consultation with city attorney, and Section 551.072, deliberation regarding real property. City Council adjourned for Executive Session at 6:10 p.m. Executive Session began at 6:21 p.m. and concluded at 7:17 p.m. 2B. RECONVENE Mayor Terrell reconvened the meeting at 7:25 p.m. Mayor Terrell asked if any action was necessary from Executive Session. There was no action necessary as a result of Executive Session. 3A.
