Location Map
Past
In 1949, James Torian acquired a 78.2 acre tract of land. This parcel was part of a larger tract originally acquired by Mr. Torian’s grandfather, J. R. Torian, in 1886
Meadowmere Acres
In the early 1960’s, Mr. Torian began developing the property as Meadowmere Acres.
While numerous deeds reference Meadowmere Acres, it does not appear that the plat was ever recorded.
Torian Lane
On July 24, 1968, Mr. Torian executed an instrument, recorded in Volume 4597, Page 345, Deed Records, Tarrant County, Texas, in which he created Torian Lane.
Savannah Court Partnership
On October 12, 2007, Savannah Court Partnership (“Savannah”) acquired a 21,900 square feet tract of land.
Rather than pursue a “piece-meal” approach, Savannah chose to acquire additional properties in order to deliver a unified quality development.
Torian Lane - Not Open
On February 25, 2009, the City of Southlake approved a plat of Lot 29, F. Throop No. 1511 Addition (ZA08-107). This plat declared that Torian Lane was “Not Open”.
The city of Southlake adopted the plat and made no requirement that Torian Lane be constructed to city standards.
Torian Lane - Not Open
On May 21, 2009, Lester and Stacey Strait executed the Owner’s Dedication of the plat of Lot 29, F. Throop No. 1511 Addition, declaring that Torian Lane was Not Open.
Had Mr. Strait decided to access Torian Lane, he would have had to construct the pavement of Torian Lane to City of Southlake standards.
He chose not to do so.
Present
Savannah Court Partnership has completed acquisition of the majority of the undeveloped lots in Meadowmere Acres.
Savannah has partnered with the Cheatham tract to deliver a quality, unified neighborhood.
