RESOLUTION NO. 89-31
A RESOLUTION OF 5~3 CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SOUTHIAKE, TEXAS, ESTABLISHING THE OFFICE
OF ALTEKNATE MUNICIPAL JUDGE OF THE CITY,
PURSUANT TO THE HOME RULE CHARTER OF THE CITY
OF SOUTHLAKE. PROVIDING AN ~'~'KCT/VE DATE.
WHEREAS, a Home Rule Charter was approved by the voters in a
duly called charter election on April 4, 1987; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council finds and determines that the new
Ho~e Rule Charter is needed, feasible and in the best interest of the
conlmmnity; now,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SOU~.~AKE, TEX~, THAT:
Section 1. ~at all the findings in the preamble are found to be true
and correct and the City Council does hereby incorporate said findings
into the body of this resolution as if copied in t_heir entirety.
Sect_~on 2. That effective inm~diately, the City Council hereby
appoiv~ts CARMEN BLANKENSHIP as Alternate Judge, for a two year term,
pursu~%t to Section 5.04 of the Hone Rule Charter of the City of
South]ake, Texas.
Section 3. That this Resolution be in full force and effect from and
after its passage and approval.
