RESOLUTION NO. 89-26
A RESOLUTION CONTINUING RESOLUTION 89-05, A
RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SOUTHLAKE, TEXAS,
ADOPTED JANUARY 3, 1989, PROHIBITING THE
ISSUANCE OF BUILDING PERMITS ON CERTAIN
PROPERTIES PENDING THE ADOPTION OF ZONING
CLASSIFICATIONS; PROVIDING FOR A METHOD OF
REPEAL OF THIS RESOLUTION; AND PROVIDING THAT
THIS RESOLUTION SHALL TAKE EFFECT IMMEDIATELY
UPON PASSAGE.
WHEREAS, on January 3, 1989, the City Council of the City of
Southlake approved Resolution 89-05, prohibiting the issuance of
building permits for the construction, repair, and renovation of
structures on properties which have not been reclassified or
rezoned under terms of Ordinance No. 334, the Comprehensive
Zoning Ordinance, until such time as appropriate zoning
classifications have been adopted; and,
WHEREAS, Section 4 of Resolution 89-05 provides for the
automatic expiration in 120 days of adoption of said resolution
unless it is continued in full force and effect by amendment or
adoption of a new resolution; and,
WHEREAS, The Planning
forwarded its recommendation
City Council;
and Zoning Commission has not yet
on the zoning classifications to the
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF SOUTHLAKE, TEXAS:
SECTION 1: The Planning and Zoning Commission of the City
of Scuthlake has been conducting public hearings on proposed
zoning classifications as directed by the City Council by
Resolution 89-05.
SECTION 2: Although the Planning and Zoning Commission
has been working expeditiously to complete its charge and make
reco~endation to the City Council, the work will not be finished
within the 120 day time frame originally established by Res.
89-05, and an additions! period is needed to assure proper
consideration.
SECTION 3. Resolution 89-05 is hereby continued in full
force and effect for a period not to exceed sixty (60) days.
SECTION 4. Ail declarations and findings contained in the
preamble of this Resolution are made a part hereof and shall be
fully effective as a part of this Resolution.
