RESOLUTION NO. 89-25
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SOUTHLAKE, TEXAS, IN SUPPORT OF T~E N~:~:~)
FOR STOP LIGHTS AT THE INTERSECTIONS OF SHll4
AND DOVE ROAD AND SHll4 AND NORTH WHITE CHAPEL
ROAD. PROVIDING AN ~'~'~CTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, it is detezmined by the City Council members to be
in the best interest of the citizens of the City of Southlake, Texas,
to protect the health, safety azld welfare of the citizens by having
safe driving conditions; arid,
WHEREAS, the City Council members of the City of Southlake
are in support of additional stop lights on State Highway 114, to be
located at the intersections of Dove Road and North White Chapel Road;
and,
WHEREAS, the City Council is hereby requesting consideration
of the State Department of Highways and Public Transportation for the
installation of additional stop lights at the locations as stated
above; now,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY ~E CI~f ODUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SOUTHL~2fE, TEXAS, THAT:
Section 1. Ail of the above premises are found to be true and correct
and are incorporated into the body of this resolution as if copied in
their entirety.
Section 2. It is the intention of the City Council to hereby authorize
the Mayor to write a letter to the State Depa~ ht~nt of Highways and
Public IYansportation, requesting t~]e installation of stop lights at
the location of State Highway 114 and Dove Road and State Highway 114
and North White Chapel Road.
Section 3. This resolution
approval.
