1989-024 ResolutionCity of Southlake, Texas RESOLUTION NO. #89-24 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTHLAKE, TEXAS, AUTHORIZING THE POLICE CHIEF TO SUBMIT APPLICATIONS TO THE STATE DEPARTMENT OF HIGHWAYS AND PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION AS REQUIRED BY ARTICLE V.C.S. 6701M-2 FOR EXEMPT VEHICLE LICENSE PLATES. WHEREAS, the City of Southlake, Texas, adopted Resolution #89-24 on April 18, 1989, allowing certain fire and police department vehicles to be exempt from identification under Article V.C.S. 6701m-2. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CiTY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTHLAKE, TEXAS: Section 1. That the City Council has determined that certain fire and police department vehicles, when used in the performance o! official duties, are exempt under Article V.C.S. 6701m-2 from identification. Section 2. That the City Council authorizes the Police Chief, James W. Campbell, to sign the forms required to be submitted for registration requesting regular license plates for exempt vehicles. Section 3. That the City Council requests the State Department of Highways and Public Transportation issue regular license plates upon submittal of the proper application for exempt vehicles. Section 4. That the City Manager forward a copy of this resolution along with the application for registration requesting regular plates for exempt vehicles to the State Department of Highways and Public Transportation. Section 5. That: this resolution shall be effective from and after its date of passage.
