PROJECT: Siqn Variance for it Calabrese
REQUEST: On behalf of it Calabrese, Landmark Sign Co. is requesting variances from the
Sign Ordinance No. 704-F regulations to allow two attached signs, one on the
north elevation and one on the east elevation, that do not meet the regulations in
the sign ordinance. The property is located at 1281 East State Highway 114, also
being the southwest intersection of E. SH114 and State Street.
This restaurant is currently known as Patrizio and will be changing the name to it
Calabrese. The following variances are requested:
The north elevation for it Calabrese fronts the SH 114 frontage road. The applicant
is requesting variances to the sign ordinance; to allow a prohibited roof sign on the
north elevation first floor roof; to allow a maximum letter height of 26 inches (this
location allows for a maximum 24 inch letter); to allow blue and green LED lights
within the aqua color faced channel letters (only white LEDs are permitted); and to
allow the sign to be located outside the required 75% of the fagade.
The east elevation fronts on SH 114 and State Street. The applicant is requesting
variances to the sign ordinance; to allow the a maximum letter of 34 inches (this
location allows for a maximum 24 inch letter); to allow the 19.5 foot length of the
sign to exceed the allowable 18.5 foot length; and to allow blue and green LED
lights within the aqua color faced channel letters (only white LEDs are permitted).

Demonstration
Please demonstrate that the following conditions are applicable to the requested sign variance:
1. That a literal enforcement of the sign regulation will create an unnecessary hardship or practical
difficulty on the applicant.
