Action
Requested: Approve the FY 2014 sidewalk construction and wayfinding
signage installation priority lists.
Background
Information: Each year in December the staff presents a sidewalk
construction list and wayfinding signage priority list to City
Council for consideration and approval. Recommendations
presented this year for sidewalk construction are based on the
2030 Mobility Committees' priorities and recommendations for
signage are based on the adopted 2030 Wayfinding Signage
Plan. A PowerPoint presentation is included in City Council's
packet which lists the priority locations for sidewalks and
signage as well as associated location maps.
The implementation of the mobility plan's recommended
sidewalks and wayfinding signage system is aligned with the
City's Strategic Management System through the
implementation of Critical Business Outcomes and
Corporate Objective highlighted by the red box in the exhibit
below.

visitors. We do this by being an exemplary model of balancing efficiency, fiscal responsibility, transparency, and sustalnablitty.
The City has allocated $400,000 in the FY 14 Capital
Improvements Program for the construction of sidewalks. Below are
the recommend sidewalk segments and to be constructed using FY
2014 funds.
