4. Presentation and Discussion: Director of Economic Development and Tourism Recruitment Process
(Stacey Black, Director of Human Resources).
5. Discussion on Future Agenda items (A Committee member may inquire about a subject of which
notice has not been given. A statement of specific factual information or the recitation of existing policy
may be given. Any deliberation shall be limited to a proposal to place the subject on an agenda for a
subsequent meeting.)
6. Adjournment.
A quorum of the City Council may or may not be present at this meeting.

Due to a lack of a quorum the meeting was not called to order and no formal actions were
taken by the SBC.

Ex-Officio Members Present: Councilmemeber Carolyn Morris and Southlake Chamber of Commerce

Others Present: Assistant City Manager and Economic Development & Tourism Interim Director Alison

1. Call to Order
Due to a lack of a quorum the meeting was not called to order and no formal actions were taken by the
SBC. The following briefings began at 5:09 p.m.
2. Administrative Items
A. No actions were taken regarding the approval of the minutes of the February 20, 2013
meeting. They will be submitted for approval at the next meeting.
B. No actions were taken regarding the overview of briefing notes from April 17, 2013
C. Alison Ortowski pointed out future meeting dates: January 15, 2014 and March 19, 2014
3. Presentation: FY 2014 Adopted Budget (Sharen Jackson, Chief Financial Officer)
Sharen Jackson presented a high level overview of the FY 2014 Adopted Budget and answered
questions from the members.
4. Presentation and Discussion: Director of Economic Development and Tourism Recruitment
Process (Stacey Black, Director of Human Resources)
Stacey Black gave a presentation on the recruitment process the City is taking for hiring a new
Director of Economic Development and Tourism.
5. Discussion on Future Agenda items
A. Presentation on Future Plans for the State's and City of Southlake's Water Plan
B. Presentation of the Economic Development & Tourism Master Plan
C. Southlake Chamber of Commerce Business Update
D. Town Square Future Growth Plans
