ORDINANCE NO. 146
AN ORDINANCE RECEIVING AND ANNEXING TERRITORY
ADJACENT AND CONTIGUOUS TO THE CITY OF SOUTHLAKE,
TEXAS, PROVIDING THAT SUCH AREA SHALL BECOME A
PART OF SAID CITY AND THAT THE OWNERS AND
INHABITANTS THEREOF SHALL BE ENTITLED TO ALL
THE PRIVILEGES OF THE OTHER CITIZENS OF SAID
CITY, AND BE BOUND BY THE ACTS AND ORDINANCES
NOW IN EFFECT AND TO BE HEREINAFTER ADOPTED:
FURTHER PROVIDING FOR AMENDING AND CORRECTING
THE OFFICIAL BOUNDARIES OF SAID CITY AS HERETOFORE
ADOPTED AS AMENDED, AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE
DATE.
WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of the Acts of 1953, 53rd
Legislature, Page 357, chapter 93, codified as Article 974-6, Re-
vised Civil Statutes of Texas, BOBBY JOE BAILEY and wife, DORIS
BAILEY, owners of the real property hereinafter described having
made application as by law provided to the Mayor and City Council
of the City of Southlake, Texas, for annexation of a tract of
land situated in Tarrant County, Texas, and being a 90 by 105
foot tract out of an original 1 acre tract of land out of the
J. N. Gibson SURVEY, more fully described by metes and bounds as
follows:
Being a part of the J. N. GIBSON SURVEY in Tarrant
County, Texas, being a 90 by 105 foot tract out of
an original 1 acre tract which was heretofore con-
veyed by W. M. KELLER and wife, MRS. W. M. KELLER
to A. H. BOARD, by deed dated 10/18/35, filed 12/
18/44, in Book 1680+ Page 159, Deed Records, Tarrant
County, Texas, and being outc£ the N. E. corner of
said original 1 acre tract, and being described by
metes and bounds as follows:
BEGINNING at the N. E. corner of said 1 acre tract
a post in the south line of Union Road;
THENCE West 90 feet to a stake;
THENCE South 105 feet a stake;
THENCE East with Hitt's north line 90 feet a stake;
THENCE North 105 feet to the place of beginning of
a 90 by 105 foot tract out of an original 1 acre.
SAVE AND EXCEPT any part of portion thereof in the
use or occupancy of any public road or highway;

PETITION REQUESTING ANNEXATION OF LAND CONTIGUOUH AND
ADJACENT TO THE CITY OF SOUTHLAKE, TEXAS
To the Honorable Mayor and Members of the City Council of the
City of Southlake, Texas.
GREETINGS: V
We, the undersigned BOBBY JOE BAILEY, et ux, DORIS, of
Tarrant County,. Texas, hereinafter called Petitioner$ represent
as follows:
1. That they are the owners of a 90 by 105 foot tract out
of an original 1 acre tract of land out of the J.N. GIBSON SURVEY,
Tarrant County, Texas, and described byt~:metes and bounds as follows:
BEGINNING at the N. E. corner of said 1 acre tract a post in the
south line of Union Road; THENCE West 90 feet to a stake; THENCE
South 105 feet a stake; THENCE East with Hitt's north line 90
feet a stake; THENCE North 105 feet to the place of beginning.
A plat of said land showing its location with respect to the
boundary of the City of Southlake, Texas, is attached hereto marked
EXHIBIT "A".
2. That the land described in EXHIBIT "A" hereto attached,
is less than one-half mile in width; that less than three qualified
voters reside thereon, and is contiguous and adjacent to the City
of Southlake, Texas.
3. Your petitioners agree that if this request for annexation
be granted, said land shall become a part of the City of Southlake,
Texas, and the said land and any future inhabitants thereof shall be
entitled to all the rights and privileges of other citizens of the
City of Southlake, and shall be bound by the acts and ordinances of
said City, now in effect and as hereafter enacted.
WHEREFORE, Your petitioners respectfully request that this
Petition for Annexation to the City of Soutnlake, of the land des-
cribed in attached EXHIBIT be granted.

quired for deeds.
