T,THEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of the Acts of 1953,
53rd Legislature, Page 357, chapter 93, codified as Article
974-G, Revised Civil Statutes of Texas, Tip Johnson and wife,
Edna Johnson, owners of the real property hereinafter described
having made application as by law provided to the Nayor and City
Council of the City of Southlake, Texas, for annexation of a
tract of land situated in ^arrant County, Texas and being_ 9.13
acres out of the S. Freeman Survey, more fully described by
metes and bounds as follows:
Being a part of the S. `'reeman Survey, Abstract 525
in the County of Tarrant, clate of Texas, and being
more particularly described as follows:
t~EGINNIivi at a point for the Northeast corner, 939.8
feet West of the Northeast corner of said S. Freeman
Survey;
THENCE South 39 deg. 55 min. West along the Northwest
boundary line of '7overnment acquisition tract (A39)
lz56.7 feet to a point in the center of a county lane
known as McPherson Road (county project 43119);
THENCE North 0 deg. 17 min. TTest with the center line
of said County lane 970.13 feet to a point for the
Northwest corner, saic, point being in the South line
of the T,•'oods Survey;
TNyNCE South 89 deg. s min. East 820 feet to the
point of beginning, containing 9.13 acres of land,
more or less;
SAVE AND EYCEPT any part or portion thereof in the

ADJACENT TO THE CITY OF SOUTHLANE, TEXAS'
To the Honorable Mayor and Members of the City Council of the City
of Southlake, Texas.
REETINGS:
T'?e, the undersigned Tip Johnson, and wife, Edna Johnson, of
Tarrant County, Texas, hereinafter called Petitioners, represent
as follows:
1. That they are the owners of a 9.13 acre tract of land
being a part of the S. Freeman Survey, Abstract 525 in the County
of Tarrant, State of Tesras, and being more particularly described
as follows: BEGINNIN'u at a point for the Northeast corner, 939.8
feet T1est of the Northeast corner of said S. Freeman Survey;
THENCE South 39 deg. 55 min. T'7e1st along the Northwest boundary
line of Government acquisition tract (A39) 1256.7 feet to a point
in the center of a county lane known as P,ePherson Road? (county
project d3119); ; THENCE North 0 deg. 17 min. T Lest with the center
line of said County lane 970.13 feet to a point for the Northwest
corner, said point being in the South line of the F. T?oods Survey;
THENCE South 39 deg. 3 min. East 920 feet to the point of beginning,
containing 9.13 acres of land, more or less; SAVE AN-) E7-,rCEPT any
part or portion thereof in the use or occupancy of any public
roar- or hishi~ay;
A plat of said land showing its location with respect to the
boundary of the City of Southlake, Texas, is attached hereto marked
EITIIBIT "A" .
2. That -the land described in E`CHIBIT "A" hereto attached, is
less than one-half mile in width; that less than three qualified
voters reside thereon, and is contiguous and adjacent to the City
of Southlake, Texas.
3. Your petitioners agrees that if this request for annexation
be granted, said land shall become a part of the City of Southlake,
Texas, and the said land and any future inhabitants thereof shall be
entitled to all the rights and privileges of other citizens of the
City of Southlake, and shall be bound by the acts and ordinances
of said City, now in effect and as hereafter enacted.

Petition for Annexation to the City of Southlake, of the land
described in attached E`=DIT be granted.
