REQUEST: The applicant is requesting a variance to the Sign Ordinance No. 704-F requirements to allow an attached sign on the west elevation of their building that exceeds maximum allowed letter height. The applicant is requesting a 33" maximum letter height for the `S' and the maximum allowed letter height for this location is 18 inches. HISTORY: - Segal's Fine Cleaning received approval of a zoning change and site plan for this location February 2, 1999 (ZA98-136) - Permits for an attached sign and monument sign were issued October 2000. - Permits for a new monument sign and attached sign were issued in March 2013. There are no records of any sign variances granted for this property or in the immediate vicinity. STAFF COMMENTS: The sign criteria, site plan and application are attached to this report. That a literal enforcement of the sign regulation will create an unnecessary hardship or practical difficulty on the applicant. 2. That the situation causing the unnecessary hardship or practical difficulty is unique to the affected property and is not self imposed. 3. That the variance will not injure and will be wholly compatible with the use and permitted development of adjacent properties. 4.
