Continental Park Estates (Lot 29, Block 2), 1993 - Quitclaim DeedSTATE OF TEXAS COUNTY OF TARRANT QUITCLAIM DEED KNOW ALL MEN BY THESE PRESENTS: That the City Council of the City of Southlake, County of Tarrant, State of Texas, after careful study and consideration, has determined that a certain 6' utility easement located in Lot 29 Block 2, Continental Park Estates Addition, hereinafter specifically described, is not being used by, nor useful or convenient to the public in general; therefore, it constitutes a public charge without a corresponding public benefit, and the public would be better served and benefited by its vacation and abandonment. For and in consideration of the above findings and for other good and valuable consideration, the receipt and sufficiency of which is hereby acknowledged, the City of Southlake does hereby bargain, sell, release, vacate, abandon and forever quitclaim unto: Terry G. Said utility easement is further described on the attached exhibits: EXHIBIT A: Metes and Bounds Description EXHIBIT B: Graphic Depiction Further, The attached Exhibit "C" documents the approval of this abandonment by public utility companies. WHEREAS, in order to remove any question as to the continued interest or ownership of the public in said utility, easement the City desires to execute a Quit Claim Deed releasing all title, ownership and control in said easement to the owner or owners of the abutting property; --1-- NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CIT~COUNCIL OF THE CIT~OF SO~{LAKE, TEXAS: SECTION 1 The portions of the 6' utility easement , as described herein, are not being used by, nor useful or convenient to the public in general. They constitute a public charge without a corresponding benefit, and the public would be better served and benefitted by their vacation and abandonment. Accordingly, the above described portions of the 6' utility easement, relating to Lot 29, Block 2t Continental Park Estates Addition to the city of Southlake, Tarrant County, Texas, are hereby vacated and abandoned as public property and such areas so abandoned shall revert in fee simple to the owner of the remainder of said Lot 29, Block 2. SECTION 2 A copy of said quitclaim deed shall be presented for filing with the County Clerk of Tarrant County, Texas by the office of the City Secretary.
