which notice has not been given. A statement of specific factual information or the recitation
of existing policy may be given. Any deliberation shall be limited to a proposal to place the
subject on an agenda for a subsequent meeting.)

A quorum of the City Council may or may not be present at this meeting.

Due to a lack of a quorum the meeting was not called to order and no formal actions were
taken by the SBC.

Members Present: Frank Bliss, Peter Ermish, Bret Kidd, Tim Moorehead, Matt Schirle, Mike
Tesoriero and Mack Zimmerman
Ex- Officio Members Present: Southlake Chamber of Commerce Interim President Mark
Guilbert and Director of Economic Development & Tourism Greg Last
Others Present: Councilmember Pamela Muller, Planning & Development Services Director
Ken Baker, Assistant Police Chief James Brandon, Marketing & Tourism Manager Jill
Lind and Economic Development & Tourism Administrative Secretary Denise Artho
1. Call to Order
Due to a lack of a quorum the meeting was not called to order and no formal actions
were taken by the SBC. The following briefings were begun at 5:12 p.m.
2. Administrative Items
A. No action was taken regarding the approval of the minutes of the February 20,
2013 meeting. They will be submitted for approval at the next meeting.
B. Chairman Schirle pointed out future meeting dates: June 19, 2013, August 21,
2013.
3. Discussion regarding a "Business Summit" proposed for the fall of 2013 by the
Southlake Police Department
Director Last briefed members on the Business Summit Survey, followed by a
discussion about the program by Assistant Police Chief James Brandon. There was
general support for the program. Revisions were recommended for incorporation into
the survey.
4. Review results of the February One Minute Business Survey
A. Director Last led a discussion on the One Minute Business Survey.

Director Last presented an overview of the current development activities in the City
and answered questions from members.
6. Discussion on Future agenda
Chairman Schirle led a discussion on future topics. One topic mentioned was
emergency preparedness and a preview of the Police Department's Business
Summit Topics.
7. Adjournment
The briefings were concluded at approximately 6:35 p.m.
