This item was brought forward for Council's consideration on
January 15, 2013. In light of the number of items requiring Council
action following the holiday break; Council elected to defer action
on this item to the February 19, 2013 meeting.
At the time this item was originally brought forward for Council's
consideration the City Secretary's Office provided an alphabetical
listing of applications on file with the office. In addition to the listing,
Council was provided two new applications (Scott Dyche and
Randy Minshew) received from the public.
On February 19, Council directed staff to promote vacancies and
contact existing applicants to determine interest in the current
vacancies on the Planning and Zoning Commission and Zoning
Board of Adjustment. Council further directed staff to schedule a
date to interview applicants.
The City Secretary's Office reached out to the existing applicants
who submitted an application in 2012 that indicated an interest in
the Planning and Zoning Commission and Zoning Board of
Adjustment. The enclosed listing indicates the applicants who were
interested in the vacancies.
City staff publicized the vacancies on the City's website and on
MySouthlakenews.com. The City received four new applications.
The enclosed listing identifies the new applicants.
A companion item to consider and appoint members to the Zoning
Board of Adjustment is also included on the agenda (item 4G).
