S. Village Center Drive, generally
extending from E. Southlake Blvd.
(FM 1709) to S. Nolen Drive.
Purpose: Improve safety and access to
CISD the property..

Recommendations
• Adopt alignment 1S & 2N.
• Maintain cross section design features from the
previous MTP.
• Construct roadway north of CISD property with
center turn lane to provide adequate stacking for
drop-off/pick-up.
• Close CISD north drive and provide access to the
school from S. Village Center.
• Realign the section of S. Village Center from
Kimball to Nolen to eliminate offset.

P&Z RECOMMENDATION
On January 3, 2013; Approved (5-0) subject to Staff
Report dated December 27, 2012 and Staff's
recommendation of 1SI2N alternative alignment as
it provides a continuous path, minimizing negative
impacts on future development potential in the area
and providing for a safe distance from adjacent
school facilities.
