Meeting and May 10, 2011 SPIN Standing -Committee Meeting
The group was not able to approve the April minutes as, a quorum of attendees was not
present.
A motion was made to approve the May minutes with the following corrections: Add David
Baltimore as in attendance.

Ben Thatcher discussed the Stars and Stripes event.

SPIN 2 David Alexander reported thattheproperty west of Carroll Middle school proposal is
now 12 lots on 10 acres and he has forwarded this to neighborhood, but does not know if
developer will want another SPIN meeting.
SPIN 3 Randy Williamson reported that Bob Price said East Dove will be finished by end of
June.
SPIN 4 Not present, but Alison Orlowski said Lou Hillman advised that developer of a large
house in Cotswald declined a SPIN meeting,.
SPIN 5 Barbara Schlauch had nothing to report
SPIN 6 Mike Terry said the Tornado warnings worked well, but was surprised by the hail. He
also reported some graffiti on the new retaining wall at Dove and White chapel.

SPIN 8 John Logan noted that a possible SPIN meeting concerning the land east of Ethan
Allen rezone for large restaurant several tenants. Neighbors very concerned about median
creating a difficult exit for the proposed Westwood connection,

SPIN 9: Ray Tremain thanked the City planting shrubs for the park by Old Union, He asked if
code enforcement drives the major roads and notices illegal signs left out.
SPIN 10 Ron Evans reported that Koalty Park has a new sign.
SPIN 11. Monique Schill noted that the median at Jellico is filling with rainwater and creates a
hazard when rainwater collects. She also hosted a SPIN meeting on June 13, 2011 regarding
office buildings on west side of Watermere.
Senior: David Baltimore reported that the military came out to the flag dedication at the Senior
Center.
Youth: Michelle Terry said New Elementary and Middle school and Art building are opening
this fall.
