The requested action is to approve an Interlocal Agreement with the City of Keller
for the design and construction costs associated with the Caylor Wholesale Meter
Modification project. This project has been presented to council as Change Order
No 4 for the TW King 30 -inch water transmission line project.

The Caylor Meter Station is located at 1300 N. Caylor Road. The ground storage
tank is west of US 377 in the City of Fort Worth.

The Proposed Change Order No. 4 for the TW King water transmission line will
include the construction costs associated with the Caylor Wholesale Meter
Modification. These charges include a Siemens 36 -inch Magnetic flow meter which
was approved by the City of Fort Worth. The removal and disposal of the existing
equipment, concrete adjustments for the new meter, installation, SCADA system
connections and general site clean up.

The Caylor water supply line is designed to provide 29 million gallons per day (MGD) to the Cities of
Southlake and Keller by gravity. Previous agreement between the Cities apportions this flow with 22
MGD to Southlake and 7 MGD to Keller. The cost of this project will be apportioned by the same
ratio.
The Interlocal Agreement between the Cities of Southlake and Keller for the design
and construction costs for the Caylor Wholesale Meter Modification project will be
apportioned according to the amount of water allotted to each city by the City of Fort
Worth. Fort Worth provides 29 million gallons per day of water to the Cities of
Southlake and Keller. 22 million gallons per day is the amount of water allotted to
the City of Southlake and the remaining 7 million gallons per day is allotted to the
City of Keller.
The design fee for Freese & Nichols is $39,870 and the construction cost for Circle
C Construction Company is $166,700. The total design and construction costs for
the project is $206,570.00. Southlake will pay 75.86% which is $156,704 and
Keller will pay 24.14% which is $49,866.

Approval of the Interlocal Agreement with the City of Keller will link this request to
the City's strategy map relative to the focus area of infrastructure by investing to
provide and maintain high quality public assets and establishing and maintain
