Wholesale Meter Modification in the amount of $166 thousand 700 dollars.

The Caylor Meter Station is located at 1300 N. Caylor Road in Fort Worth. The City
of Fort Worth currently pumps water to the Caylor ground storage tank and meter
station located west of US 377 before discharging into the water distribution system
which serves the cities of Southlake and Keller.

Background Information
• April 21, 2011
- Cities of Fort Worth, Southlake and Keller met to discuss the
removal and replacement of an existing 16 -inch turbine meter
from the 36 -inch water line which supplies water to Southlake
and Keller.
- The turbine meter is located at the Caylor Ground Storage Tank
and Meter Station.
• June 13, 2012
- Engineering services contract awarded for preparation of final
plans and specifications to Freese & Nichols, Inc.
• November 2012
- Change order request to the TW King 30" Water Line for the
construction of the Caylor Wholesale Meter Modification to be
constructed by Circle C Construction Company.
- City of Keller will partner with the City of Southlake through an
Interlocal Agreement to share the expenses for this project.
In April of 2011 the City of Fort requested a meeting with the Cities of Southlake and
Keller to discuss the removal and replacement of an existing 16 -inch turbine meter
from the 36 -inch water line which supplies water to Southlake and Keller. The
existing meter will be replaced with a 36 -inch magnetic meter.
In June of this year, the city of Southlake awarded an engineering services contract
with Freese & Nichols, Incorporated to prepare plans and specification for the meter
modification. Freese & Nichols worked closely with the City of Fort Worth to insure
that the proposed modifications were in compliance with Fort Worth's specifications.
Fort Worth has completed their review and a final construction cost estimate has
been submitted by Cirlce C Construction company for the installation of the
proposed 36 -inch magnetic meter.
The City of Keller has agreed to share in the costs associated with this project
through an Interlocal Agreement with the City of Southlake.

Proposed Change Order No. 4 for the TW King water transmission line will include
the construction cost associated with the Caylor Wholesale Meter Modification.
These charges include a Siemens 36 -inch Magnetic flow meter which was approved
by the City of Fort Worth. Also, the removal and disposal of the existing equipment
to be removed, concrete adjustments for the new meter, installation, SCADA system
connections and general site clean up.

*City of Keller will contribute $49,866.00 to this change order.
The original contract price for the TW King 30 -inch water line and meter station was
6 million 739 thousand 20 dollars with and additional 1500 dollars for change orders
1 through 3. Change order number 4 in the amount of 166,700 will revise the total
contract amount to 6,907,220. The City of Keller will contribute to this change
order 49 thousand 8hundred 66 dollars.
