Agenda Item No. 1 - Call to Order: Chair Bartlett called the meeting to order at
6:01 p.m.
Agenda Item No.. 2A - Consent: Approval of the minutes from the January 24,
2012 Southlake Arts Council meeting — A correction was made to the minutes to add
an "s" to "Art," changing "Winter Art in Town Hall" to "Winter Arts in Town Hall" in
references throughout the minutes to correspond with the event program brochure.
A motion was made, seconded and unanimously (5-0) approved to accept the minutes
as corrected.
Agenda Item No. 3A — Consider: Recommendation on permit from Southlake Arts
Council, CISD Art Department, City of Southlake Public Library and Art in The
Square organization to display CISD Art Exhibit April 26 -29, 2012 in Town Hall
during the Art In the Square event — Deputy Director McGeath presented the permit
request and provided details about the scope of the exhibition. The item was discussed
by the Southlake Arts Council. Signage to help patrons locate the art displays was
discussed.
A motion was made, seconded and unanimously approved (5 -0) to recommend City
Council approve the permit to display CISD Art Exhibit April 26 -29, 2012 in Town Hall
during the Art In The Square event.

Agenda Item No. 4 — Discussion: "Winter Arts in Town Hall" Reception — This item
was discussed and members were praised for their efforts. Feedback was very positive
from the artists and attendees. Approximately 90 people attended the reception.
The Southlake Arts Council discussed publicity issues and discussed utilizing a
schedule of events, press releases, media blasts and web calendars for future events.
Banners /signs and other advertising options may be explored. Southlake Arts Council
will work on a schedule this summer to present to City Council of upcoming events.
A discussion item will be placed on the next agenda regarding possible events for the
remainder of the year and to brainstorm a schedule. A calendar of upcoming local and
regional events may be provided at the next meeting to aid in scheduling future events.
One possible event was to host a photography show.
Agenda Item No. 5 - Public Forum: No one was present to address the Arts Council.
Professional photos of the City's roundabout art pieces, fountains and other art pieces
will be uploaded to the City's website in the near future.
Agenda Item No. 6 -- Adjournment — A motion was made, seconded and unanimously
approved to adjourn the meeting at 6:35 p.m.
