MEMBERS PRESENT: Bob Lee and Richard Sandow
COMMISSIONERS ABSENT: Kenneth Horne, Dustin Andrews, David Carpenter, Wayne Luzius
and Michael Waldman
STAFF PRESENT: Paul Ward, Chief Building Official, Allison Ortowski, Asst to City Manager and
Stacey Buller, Secretary.
Agenda Item No. 1 — Call to Order: Paul Ward, Building Official, called the meeting to order at 4:13
p.m.
Agenda Item No. 2 — Presentation of New Boards and Commission Manuals: Allison Ortowski,
Asst to City Manager presented New Boards and Commission Manuals and explained the BBA
members responsibilities and function on the board.
Agenda Item No.3 — Approval of the minutes dated October 10, 2011. A quorum was not present
to vote on the minutes due to only two of the members that were present for the previous meeting was
present at this time.
Agenda Item No.4 — Administrative Comments Paul Ward thanked the Board for their service and
discussed code requirements and upcoming changes.
Agenda Item No. 5 — Orientation: Paul Ward discussed the purpose of the Building Board of
Appeals. An application for appeal shall be based on a claim that the true intent of this code or the
rules legally adopted has been incorrectly interpreted, the provisions of this code do not fully apply or
an equally good or better form of construction is proposed.
Agenda Item No.6 — Meeting Adjournment
The meeting was adjourned at 5:09 p.m.
