Alison, I spoke with Randi to discuss the proposed project. I am in support of the project going through the
SPIN process in a single SPIN meeting. As SPIN 5 is currently vacant, I might need some assistance with
communication for that meeting. They are going to submit documentation by 9/13 for the 10/8 meeting.

Hi Rob,
Please see the request below from Randi Rivera – it’s a bit of an unusual situation in that the developer
has two projects (one in SPIN #1 and one in SPIN #5) that they have indicated they want considered as
one project. My advice to them in the email below was that they speak with you, give you the specifics
of both cases and then with that information, you would make a determination on whether the projects
should be considered at one or two separate meetings.
Once you have spoken with Ms. Rivera, please email me your meeting recommendation.

SPIN EC – you are copied as an FYI per the SPIN meeting guidelines.

SPIN Request (Areas 1 & 5)
Hi Randi,
Thank you for your email. As you mentioned, the first step in the SPIN Meeting process is to speak with the
SPIN Representative who will then make a recommendation on whether or not a meeting is needed. I
understand that you would like to consider both of your projects as one; however, if they will be going forward
through the development process as separate cases, we will need to hold separate meetings. If, however, at the
end of the Council meeting process it will be considered as one development, then one meeting would fit.
Your indicated that your projects are located in SPINs 1 and 5. The SPIN #1 Representative is Rob Baker. The
representative for SPIN #5 is currently vacant. Since this is a unique situation, I would recommend contacting
Mr. Baker and let him make the determination as to whether or not one meeting or separate meetings would best
fit the SPIN meeting criteria.
Following Mr. Baker’s recommendation, if you wish to schedule a meeting, please fill out and return the
attached SPIN meeting request form prior to the submittal deadline for your desired SPIN meeting date. Please
note that I cannot schedule a meeting without a recommendation from the SPIN Representative.

SPIN Request (Areas 1 & 5)
Alison:
I would like to request a SPIN meeting with representatives from areas #1 and #5 for two proposed residential
subdivisions. The proposed developments are located just across 114 from each other and we would like to
consider them as one project. The eastern most subdivision (33 lots) is located along Kirkwood Blvd, directly
north of the Verizon campus and west of Kirkwood Hollow. The western most subdivision (113 lots) is just
across the highway located north of Dove Road and along Sam School.
We have not yet filed an initial application with the City but we wish to meet with the neighbors as soon as we
can. We anticipate submitting a zoning change request for both properties to do a Residential PUD within the
next few weeks. Will you please let me know when the next available meeting dates are? On a previous SPIN
nd
request I did with you, you mentioned that the 2 step is to get in touch with the representatives to see if a SPIN
meeting is even necessary, which I will do, but I wanted to let you know that we definitely want to do conduct
the meeting and present our project.
Thank you,
Randi L. Rivera, AICP
