MINUTES
CITY COUNCIL PRESENT: Mayor Andy Wambsganss, Mayor Pro Tern Keith Shankland,
Deputy Mayor Pro Tern Carolyn Morris, and Councilmembers: Laura K. Hill, Gregory Jones,
Virginia M. Muzy~a, and John Terrell.
CITY COUNCIL ABSENT: None.
STAFF PRESENT: City Manager Shana Yelverton, Interim Deputy City Manager Chuck
Kiefer, Assistant to the City Manager Ben Thatcher, and City Secretary Lori Farwell.
Agenda Item No. 1. Ooening comments. Mayor Wambsganss called the meeting to order at 8:33
a.m. He introduced David Eisenlohr ofMAXIMUS who served as the facilitator of the Council's
strategic planning session during this June Retreat.
Agenda Item No.2. Discussion: City Council strategic planning with MAXIMUS. Mr. Eisenlohr
led the Council in strategy generation, strategy prioritization, and interpretation/clarification of
priorities.
After lunch, the Council refined and re-prioritized strategies. Then, the Council discussed their
critical objectives and action planning.
Agenda Item No.3. Adjournment. The second day of the strategic planning workshop was
adjourned at 3:40 p.m.
