I wanted to see if you’ve had an opportunity to review this yet or if I could answer any questions. Below is what I sent Alicia for your reference. Thanks! Amanda Wall Cooksey Communications, Inc. 5525 N. MacArthur Blvd., #530 Irving, Texas 75038 amanda@cookseypr.com 972-580-0662 x24 - Office 972-580-0852 - Fax Hello Alicia, Can you help me learn more about how I can propose a special topic/speaker for a future SPIN meeting? We are reaching out on behalf of the Tarrant Regional Transportation Coalition (TRTC), a non-profit group represented by elected officials from Tarrant County and Fort Worth that are committed to finding solutions to the mobility challenges facing the western half of the DFW Metroplex. Our goal is to spur conversation amongst friends, neighbors, business colleagues, local leaders and state government officials about our region’s urgent mobility needs – roadways, commuter rail and freight rail. With the D/FW Connector and I-35W improvements impacting travel and trade to and from Southlake, we would like to speak to SPIN members about the reasons to support the area’s transportation projects, explain how they are funded and provide insight on what the state legislature is doing or the solutions it needs to consider in order to address our region’s mobility issues. 1 TRTC would send the organization’s executive director, Vic Suhm, or a board member (typically an elected official in county or city government) to speak about these topics. We appreciate your consideration of our request. Feel free to visit www.trtcmobility.org to learn more about our organization and please let us know if you have any questions. 2
