PROJECT: Sign Variance for Modia Home Theatre Store
REQUEST: Chandler Signs, L.P. L.L.P. is requesting a variance to the Sign Ordinance No. 704 -F
requirements for maximum letter height, maximum logo height, and sign type for an
attached sign. The proposed sign is for the north elevation of Modia Home Theater
Store located at 3030 East Southlake Boulevard in Gateway Plaza Phase 11. This
portion of the development is not subject to the Gateway Plaza Phase I or Phase II
Conditional Sign Permits. The proposed sign is slightly larger than the existing sign on
the south elevation, however, the design is identical.
The specific variances requested are as follows:

PROPERTY SITUATION: The property is located at 3030 E. Southlake Boulevard.
HISTORY: November 20, 2007 — City Council approved a variance request for maximum
allowed logo height for the attached sign on the south elevation facing
Southlake Boulevard. The regulation allowed for 24 '/2 inches; the proposed
and approved logo height is 38 inches.
