SPECIAL CITY COUNCIL MEETING
June 12, 1989 7:00 p.m.
Present: Mayor, Gary Fickes; Mayor Pro Tem, Betty Springer;
Councilmembers: Pamela Muller, Sally Hall, Rick Wilhelm
Councilmember Absent: Ralph Evans
City Staff Present: City Manager, Curtis E. Hawk; Director of
Public Works, Bill LeGrand; and City Engineer, Eddie Cheatham.
The meeting was called to order by Mayor Fickes who stated the
reason for the special meeting was to discuss the agenda items for
tonight's meeting.
Agenda Item #2. Appointment to Technical Review Committee
The city manager explained the need for the technical review
committee, stating the two main tasks of the committee will be:
1) to establish a policy for off site extensions for water and
sewer, and,
2) to work on the perimeter street ordinance.
He continued by saying, a capital improvements advisory committee
will need at least five (5) members, with 40o being from the
realestate, development and building industry. The reason for this
is to be sure they are represented.
Councilmember Muller suggested names for the committee and other
councilmembers added to the list, including:
John Moore Joe Wright Richard Eakins
Joe Bentley Barry Emerson Harold Knight
Charles Curry Craig Willan Jim Wooll
Fred Joyce
Motion was made to table this item until the work session to be
held on June 19, 1989 for further discussion.

Agenda Item #3. Worksession: Zoning Ordinance No. 480
At this time the City Councilmembers present began the
worksession for the purpose of discussing the new proposed zoning
ordinance.
The changes to the City Council Draft No. 1, dated May 18, 1989
will be attached to the minutes.
Agenda Item #4. Adjournment
The meeting was adjourned by Mayor Fickes.
