Kudos on the STEP grant. Are sidewalks planned for Union Church? It is currently unsafe for kids getting off the bus and walking on the street. o Most of that section is pending sidewalk construction in conjunction with the development of Watermere, however, those segments have been identified on our Southlake 2025 Plan for sidewalk construction and will be reviewed again soon as a component of our Southlake 2030 Plan. We would like to see sidewalks connecting to parks on both sides. Specifically, North Park and Liberty Park at Sheltonwood. Is the Neighborhood Match Program still in effect? How can we go about getting considered for a 200' strip along a retention pond at Ridgewood on Johnson? It is HOA property. o Yes, the Neighborhood Match Program is available for consideration by our City Council. The application form is available on our City website. We would be happy to assist you with the process and have your application presented at the same time we present the priority list on December 7 th What is the timing for sidewalks on FM 1709? o Due to the requirements for an environmental study that come with getting the STEP grant or any federal grant, it will take at least a year, however, the decel lane project is anticipated to begin soon since it is in conjunction with the construction of medians which are in progress.
